1. How long will it take to get my illustration?

It depends on the number of jobs I have at the moment and the complexity of your image but my goal is to have it ready for you in one week. If it will take longer, I will inform you and if you have a rush job, let me know and I’ll do my best to get it to you as soon as possible. In certain cases, rush fees may need to be applied.

2. Will I get a hard copy?

At this point I am providing you with a web-ready digital file as well as a high-resolution print-ready digital file. I can print, frame, and deliver it to you but all expenses including the extra time it would take me will be charged to you.

3. How do I get you the photos of the person I want illustrated?

There are a number of different ways you can get the photos to me. E-mailing me the specific photos you want to chris@comicsbychris.com is the best but you could also send me a link to a website where images of the person can be found. Facebook is an easy way to see a lot of pictures of a subject. Just follow “Comics by Chris” and tell me who I’m looking for.

4. What if I want a change made to the illustration?

An initial sketch will be provided for you to make notes. After that, I will include one minor revision free of charge. More time-consuming alterations will be charged in 15min increments. Revisions can be avoided by being as specific with your idea as possible from the beginning and providing the ideal photo references. I will ask you a series of questions to get as much information from you as possible so we save me time, you money, and get you the image you’ve been imagining!

5. How do I pay?

Payment is done via e-transfer or Paypal. Simply contact me to start discussing your job and when we’ve hammered out the details, I’ll send you an invoice for half of the quoted amount to your e-mail and once you’ve paid, I will begin work on the project! The rest of the payment is due before delivery of the final illustration.
